The name Memory08 is derived from the two sound sources which were used to create the record: the Memorymoog and the TR-808. Both instruments could not be further in character and tone from another--the 808 is clean, precise and familiar, while the Memorymoog is unpredictable and grainy. But by combining the two, N'conduit creates a hazy but tough EP that's reminiscent of a much more out of tune and heavy beat driven version of Vangelis' score of Blade Runner.
